FAQS

CONTENT CREATION

WHO IS A CREATOR?
A Threads Creator is fashion blogger, a designer, a boutique, a photographer, or a stylist who creates or is involved in creating, high quality style content in the form of a head to toe look.
HOW DOES THREADS SELECT WHAT TO FEATURE?
See our editor’s tips to learn how content gets featured
DOES IT HAVE TO BE ME IN THE PHOTO?
No, you don’t have to be the model, but it needs to be your work. If you participated in creating the content, post away!
CAN I POST OTHER PEOPLES PHOTOS?
Only if you were involved in making the content e.g. if you were a stylist, make-up artist, or photographer involved in the shoot.
MY PHOTO IS COMING OUT BLURRY, HELP?
We suggest posting photos using a 9:16 aspect ratio. Ideal size is 1080 x 1920 or greater than 800px on both length and width.

SHOPPING AND AFFILIATE LINKS

HOW DO WE MAKE MONEY AS CREATORS?
Post your affiliate links. Then, when the link is clicked or a sale is made, you will be credited by the affiliate program you belong to.
WHAT IF I DONT HAVE AFFILIATE LINKS?
Don’t worry. Help your followers by placing in links for them to find those items anyway and Threads is building out a system where you can get to participate soon. Stay tuned!
WHICH AFFILIATE PROGRAMS DO YOU WORK WITH AT THREADS?
We don’t work with any program exclusively yet. We are open to any links you want to post. Some of our bloggers use programs like sharesale, linkshare, rewardstyle, shopsense.
IF MY ITEM IS VINTAGE, A ONE OFF PIECE, OR FIVE YEARS OLD, HOW SHOULD I ADD LINKS?
You can add the link of an item that is similar to the one in your photo so that your followers can still get close to recreating your look. Threads is working on building out a system where you can find similar items soon, so stay tuned!
HOW COME MY IMAGE IS NOT SHOPPABLE EVEN AFTER I ADDED LINKS?
It takes some time for the data to be added to your links so that they are shoppable. Bear with us as we work some things out on our end. Check back in a day or so and see if it should work!
